The Audio-Technica AT6006R Tonearm Safety Raiser is a precision turntable accessory designed to automatically lift the tonearm when a vinyl record reaches the end of playback. It helps protect the delicate stylus tip from unnecessary wear and reduces the risk of the stylus remaining in the record’s inner groove after playback has finished. Designed specifically for manual turntables, the AT6006R provides convenient end-of-record tonearm lifting without requiring an automatic turntable mechanism.

The AT6006R uses a smooth hydraulic lift mechanism with a rubber lift bar, allowing the tonearm to be raised gently and safely. The lift mechanism applies only slight pressure to the tonearm, helping minimize stress on the cartridge, stylus, and record surface. Its controlled lifting action makes it suitable for regular vinyl listening and long-term record-care routines.

Installation is designed to accommodate turntables with different tonearm heights. The AT6006R includes 12 mm and 24 mm spacers, allowing the height to be adjusted for proper alignment with the tonearm. The main unit has an adjustable height range of approximately 27–39 mm, while the compact 14 mm diameter design helps it fit neatly beside the turntable platter.

For reliable operation, the raiser is positioned so that the stylus reaches the record’s innermost groove and activates the lift bar at the end of playback. The height, angle, and position can be adjusted before securing the unit with the supplied double-sided tape. Once correctly positioned, the AT6006R automatically raises the tonearm as the record finishes, helping preserve the stylus and reducing unnecessary contact with the record’s runout groove.
